Legal notice
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This is a courtesy translation of the Spanish legal notice. Jugueo is run from Spain under Spanish and European Union law. In case of any discrepancy between this version and the Spanish version, the Spanish version prevails, without reducing the information and safeguards this version gives you.
1. Owner details
In compliance with article 10 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), the details of the owner of Jugueo, which comprises the website jugueo.com and its iOS and Android apps, are as follows:
- Owner: Rubén Zambrano Casas
- Tax ID (NIF): 49023426F
- Address: Avenida Cataluña 35, 28703 San Sebastián de los Reyes (Madrid), España
- Contact email: [email protected]
2. Purpose
Jugueo is a free service of games and tools for playing in a group, available in the browser (jugueo.com) and as an iOS and Android app, which show the same content. It does not require registration and does not offer paid products or services, nor in-app purchases.
The apps are downloaded from the App Store and Google Play, so downloading and using them is also governed by the terms of those stores (on iOS, Apple's standard end user license agreement), as well as by this notice.
3. Terms of use
Access to Jugueo, on the website and in the apps, is open and free of charge. Anyone who uses it agrees to do so lawfully and not to use it for activities that are contrary to the law, morality or public order.
Age
- Online games (each player on their own phone) store each player's nickname while the room lasts, so they are intended for people aged 14 and over. Children under 14 may only use them with the consent of their parents or guardians (article 7 of the Spanish Data Protection Act, LOPDGDD).
- Some games include content aimed at adults (for example, the daring levels of Never Have I Ever or Truth or Dare), clearly labeled and intended only for people aged 18 and over. Whenever a game mentions alcoholic drinks, we always recommend responsible drinking, and only by adults.
User content
In nicknames, online rooms, drawings, answers and suggestions, it is forbidden to post or send content that:
- is unlawful or incites others to commit crimes;
- incites hatred, violence or discrimination, or harasses, threatens or humiliates other people;
- is sexual and involves minors, in any form;
- contains personal data of third parties (full names, phone numbers, addresses, photos...);
- infringes the intellectual or industrial property rights of others.
What is written or drawn in an online room is ephemeral and private: only the players in that room can see it, and it is deleted automatically along with the room (after 24 hours at most, see the Privacy policy). Jugueo does not review that content in advance, and each user is responsible for what they post.
Point of contact
For the authorities of the Member States, the European Commission and users, the single point of contact for the purposes of articles 11 and 12 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on Digital Services (Digital Services Act) is [email protected]. The languages of the point of contact are Spanish and English; you can also write to us in Italian or French.
How to report illegal content
If you see content that is illegal or contrary to these terms (article 16 of the Digital Services Act), write to [email protected] stating:
- where it is: the room code or the address (URL) of the page or, in the apps, the name of the game;
- what the content is and why you believe it is illegal or breaches these terms;
- your name and a contact email, unless the report concerns child sexual abuse;
- a statement confirming your bona fide belief that the information and allegations in the report are accurate and complete.
We will acknowledge receipt, review each report diligently and objectively and, where appropriate, remove the content or close the room. We will let you know what we have decided, why, and the redress options open to you (writing to us to have the decision reviewed, or going to court). Since rooms delete themselves after a short time, the content may no longer exist by the time we review the report. How we handle the data in reports is explained in the Privacy policy.
To the extent permitted by law, Jugueo is provided as is, without any warranty as to its availability, its content or the outcome of the games.
4. Intellectual property
The texts, design, code and selection of content of Jugueo, on the website and in the apps, belong to its owner or are used under license. The names of traditional games (bingo, hangman, I spy...) are in the public domain. Mechanics inspired by commercial games are offered as free adaptations and have no connection with their publishers.
The names of commercial games and shows mentioned as a reference (for example Pictionary, Taboo, Codenames, Spyfall, Just One, Wavelength, Heads Up, Password, Othello, Magic: The Gathering, Pasapalabra or Trivial Pursuit) are trademarks of their respective owners. Jugueo is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by them and only mentions them to describe the type of game.
5. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the owner is not responsible for how the games are used, nor for the challenges or forfeits the participants decide on. Play with common sense and respect. The owner also does not guarantee that the website or the apps will be continuously available, although reasonable efforts will be made to keep them running.
6. Links
Neither the website nor the apps contain sponsored links. If at any time they link to third-party sites, the owner is not responsible for their content.
7. Privacy and cookies
Data processing, on the website and in the apps, is described in the Privacy policy, and what is stored on your device (Jugueo does not use cookies, only local storage) in the Cookie policy, which appears in the apps as “Storage and data”.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to the mandatory rules that protect consumers in their country of residence. Any dispute will be heard by the courts that have jurisdiction under the applicable regulations.
9. Voluntary contributions
Jugueo is a non-profit personal project: it has no ads, does not sell data and does not charge for any game. Keeping it running does have costs, which are currently covered by its owner: the domain, the owner's own server where the site is hosted (hardware, disks, electricity and backups), the email sending service, and the hours spent creating new games, fixing bugs and keeping everything up to date and secure.
That is why anyone who wishes can make a voluntary financial contribution through Ko-fi, linked from the Support us page. It goes entirely toward those costs and, if anything is left over, toward further improving the site.
- It is a free donation, not payment for a service: it does not give access to exclusive content, benefits or priority for suggestions, and Jugueo will remain free and ad-free for everyone, whether they contribute or not.
- Payment is handled by Ko-fi together with its payment provider (PayPal or Stripe), under their own terms and privacy policy. Jugueo does not receive or store card or payment account details; only the notification of the contribution, handled as explained in the Privacy policy.
- Since the owner is not a non-profit entity covered by Spanish Law 49/2002 on tax incentives for patronage, contributions are not tax deductible. The owner declares them as income in accordance with tax regulations.
- If you contributed by mistake, write to [email protected] and we will find a way to refund you.
