Forbidden Words, free and nothing to download
Forbidden Words is a card-based describing game in English, in the spirit of board games like Taboo: describe the target word without using any of the five banned words. The phone counts one minute per turn and keeps track of each team's correct guesses, passes and fouls. Play with one phone passed from hand to hand or each on your own: create a room, share the link and the card only shows up on the describer's phone and on the rival team's phones, who hit "Forbidden!" if a banned word slips out. Perfect for a team game after dinner.
Tips and variations
- With one phone, have someone from the rival team watch the screen to call fouls; with a phone each, the whole rival team sees the card and can hit "Forbidden!".
- No gestures and no saying what letter it starts with, either: it keeps the game fair.
- For shorter games, play to 20 points or, in a room, pick fewer turns per team.
