The Impostor, free and nothing to download
The easiest impostor game to set up online: everyone sees the secret word and only one player finds out they're the impostor. Pass one phone around or play each on your own by creating a room: everyone sees their card on their phone and the vote is secret. Taking turns, you each say one related word without being too obvious, then vote on who you think is faking it. You can pick categories, add several impostors and give them a hint with the category.
Tips and variations
- With groups of more than eight, add a second impostor for extra tension.
- Turn on the category hint if you're playing with kids or people new to the game.
- If the impostor gets accused, they can still win by guessing the word: think your clues through.
