One-Word Clue, free and nothing to download
One-Word Clue is a game for pairs, in the spirit of the TV game show Password, played on one phone or each on your own: the clue giver sees the secret word and can only say one word at a time. If your partner gets it on the first try, you score 10 points, and each extra try is worth one less. If you each play on your own phone, create a room and share the link: the word only shows up on the clue givers' phones and they mark each correct guess from there. A quick word game for pairs that takes seconds to explain.
Tips and variations
- No words from the same family: if the word is sea, seaside doesn't count.
- Pairs take turns giving clues, so the other pair can take advantage of your misses.
- Pick fewer words per game if you want a short round before dinner.
