Liar's Dice, free and nothing to download
Liar's dice is the classic bluffing game, the same one known in South America as Perudo or dudo. No dice cups needed here: the phone rolls everyone's dice and you pass it around to check them in secret. On your turn, raise the bid with two taps or shout "Liar!", and the screen reveals all the dice and counts them for you. Every round someone loses a die, and the tension builds as fewer dice remain on the table. You can also play each on your own phone by creating a room: everyone sees only their own dice, bids show up instantly on every phone and, when someone calls the bluff, all the dice are revealed at once.
Tips and variations
- Do the math: each die you can't see has a one in three chance of matching a regular face, because ones count too.
- Bidding on a face you have several of puts pressure on everyone else without much risk.
- Switching to ones is a good trick to bring the count down when the bid has shot up.
