A to Z, free and nothing to download
An A to Z word game like the alphabet rounds of TV quiz shows, now on your phone: 26 letters, with one clue for each. One person is the host, reads the clues out loud and marks correct answers, wrong answers and passes while the clock runs. Letters you pass come back on the next lap and, if you like, the phone can read the clues for you so you can play solo. Choose easy, medium or hard: there are twenty wheels for each level, with vocabulary, geography, history, science, arts and sports, and the app avoids repeating the ones you've already played.
Tips and variations
- If you're not sure, say Pass: the clock stops and the letter comes back on the next lap.
- Check whether the letter is a Starts with or a Contains clue: it changes the answer a lot.
- To compete, each play one game with the same time and compare correct answers.
