Checkers, free and nothing to download
Classic checkers, ready to play three ways: with one phone in the middle of the table, against the computer at three difficulty levels or each on your own phone, by creating a room and sharing the link even if you're far apart. Choose Spanish rules, international draughts on a 10x10 board or American checkers, and play at your own pace or with a chess clock, with minutes for each player and seconds added on every move. The game applies the rules for you: it highlights the pieces that can move, makes you capture when you must, shows the path of multiple jumps and crowns pieces that reach the far side. On a single phone the game is saved so you can finish it another day.
Tips and variations
- Don't leave gaps behind your pieces: a piece with an empty square behind it can be captured.
- Hold your back row as long as you can, so your opponent takes longer to crown.
- A king is worth several pieces: sometimes it pays to give up a piece to crown sooner.
